Magdalena Gamayo is a producer of "inabels." Inabel is the technical term for woven cloth made on an Ilocano wooden pedal loom and characterized by its durability, simplicity, and functionality. Abel Iloco is a woven cloth made by hand. This Ilocos textile is so valuable that during the Spanish colonization, it was used to pay tribute in the form of fabric and gold.
