Oct. 24, 2018, Malacañang was officially awarded the three
Mindanarawon women Gawad sa Manlilikha ng Bayan (GAMABA)
Estelita Tumanda Bantilan is the weaver of
Blaan mat. Igem is a Blaan term for mats. It is made out of naturally dyed
romblon leaves. Yakan weaver is Ambalang Ausalin, a well-known "magtetenum
weaver". Yakan has 2 catergories - the "sinalu'an" and the
"seputangan". Yabing Masalon Dulo weaver of Blaan ikat or tie-dye
fabric. In Blaan term, they called it Mabal for the abaca weaving process, and
Tabih is a reserve-dyed plain woven abaca.
They were now in the lineup of 17 National Living Treasures
since the Law's intitutional in 1992. (RA No. 7355)
